Gerald Pollack - The Fourth Phase of Water
What does water actually do in the formula for life? Water scientist and biomedical engineer Gerald Pollack shares new information and ideas about simple things we can do to charge up our human cells faster than our cell phones. The report from his lab will surprise you. Dr. Gerald Pollack is a professor at the University of Washington. Dr. Pollack’s research investigates biological motion and cell biology. His curiosity was piqued when he dissected a muscle cell and noticed the interior water did not run out, but stayed in place. Why was that? This led to his 1990 book, Muscles and Molecules: Uncovering the Principles of Biological Motion, winning an “Excellence Award” from the Society for Technical Communication. His 2001 book, Cells, Gels and the Engines of Life, and his newest book, The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor won that Society’s “Distinguished Award.”

Holistic Approaches to Microbiota and Immunology for Neonates
"In the near future, the highest priority of both preventive and therapeutic medicine, will be managing microbes. We will all becoming microbial gardeners or shepherds watching over our microbial flocks."
Professor Dietert presents a seminar introducing recently published research on microbiome completeness, immunology, and more holistic ecological approaches for neonatal health. This research fills gaps in knowledge for minimizing health risks for neonates. It shifts focus away from fear of pathogens and towards opportunities to maximize health benefits for neonates as holobionts or superorganisms. Learn about new roles for 21st century biological researchers and human medical professionals as microbial managers seeking to optimize colonization resistance to better protect against infectious and noncommunicable diseases in infants. Professor McComas, President-Elect of SRA, offers her perspective on this holistic research as a rapporteur and risk scholar. She considers potential impacts of the research on the microbiota for risk practitioners who assess, communicate, and manage risks.
This is Your Brain on Sugar
A neuroscientist explains what happens to our brain when we eat sugar. Fascinating talk.

Bacteria Becoming Resistant to Antibiotics in Real Time
Find out how long it takes bacteria to become resistant to even massive amounts of antibiotics! Fortunately we have an immune system that can continuously controls bacterial growth.
Clinical Experience of Integrative Autism Treatment with Brain Lymphatic Drainage
Impaired drainage of lymph from the brain has been hypothesized be responsible for the cortical dysplasia and extra-axial fluid accumulation in the brains of autistic children as observed in the past few years by Dr. Ruggiero et al. and may therefore contribute to the pathogenesis of the disorder.
This implicates that impaired drainage of brain lymph is responsible for neuroinflammation and, consequently, for the neurological and developmental symptoms of children affected by Autism. At the end of May 2018, at the Biomedical Centre for Autism Research and Treatment in Bari we started implementing a protocol of manual lymphatic drainage of the deep cervical nodes on autistic subjects using Sophia Flow Cream, an unique mixture of natural anti-inflammatory molecules and probiotic recently developed by Dr. Ruggiero. By October 2018, about 100 patients have been treated with this protocol aimed at improving brain lymphatic flow in Autism and in this report I shall describe the clinical results.
The response was robust with regard to symptomatic improvements and we attribute these results to the effects of the massage on the circulation of lymph with consequent improvement of brain lymphatic drainage possibly leading to decrease of neuroinflammation.
