I strive to support you in the best, fastest and most comprehensive way possible so you can see results with your child’s program. I need your help to do this.
Please review this email etiquette sheet so communication is efficient and complete.
Please always tell me the full name of your child. Most children now a have different last name than the mother.
Use emails only for quick and simple updates, or questions, ie clarifications, or to give me an update before an upcoming appointment. If you want to send an update please send it 24-48 hours before the appointment, not one hour before.
Ideally, I should be able to answer your question with a yes or no. Anything more complex than that usually requires an appointment as emails generally do not provide enough information.
Always mention which remedies and in which potencies you gave to the child, on what dates, as well as what you have observed and what your concerns are. "The treatment seems to be working for Jesse…" is not enough information.
Instead write something like this: “On Sunday, January 31, we gave Jesse Miller 2 pellets of Stramonium 200C before bed. That night he woke at 2 am and could not fall back to sleep until 4. He was thirsty for water. On February 3 we noticed that the rash on his face was slightly worse, but he has started to say several new words. Should we repeat the remedy?” This is a complete update and I can simply reply with a yes or no.
Please describe in detail what you are concerned about or have noticed. "Jesse has a fever. what should we do?" is not enough information for me. Please describe the symptoms in detail, including when they started, what preceded them, what the actual temperature is, how often they happen, what makes them better or worse, how much of it is happening, ie regarding discharges, the mental state of the child, if they are thirsty to not, what they want to eat or not, which other symptoms are happening at the same time etc.
For example: “Jesse Miller developed a fever of 102 F at 1 am. He was crying and wanted to nurse and felt better at the open window. We were out on the beach in windy weather earlier in the day. I wonder if I should give Aconite?” This is a good report.
Or: "We gave Amirah Javad Quadracel on Jan 8 at 2 pm. At 4 pm she started shouting and throwing things. This happened for 30 minutes, then she settled, then started again at 7 pm. In addition she had a loose bowel movement. What should we do?" Again, a good message with enough information.
If you do not provide enough information, I cannot give you a proper answer and I may not have the time or energy for multiple emails going back and forth all day with you and a dozen other parents, all the while being worried about your child.
You will be charged for email advice at a minimum of $65 if I need to give any advice other than a simple clarification or yes or no answer. Emails are not free advice. If I need to get the file, you will be charged. Please remember that I need to read your message, get the file, respond thoughtfully, add the information to the file and replace the file. You are using my time and expertise, my ink and paper, cable and phone subscription, liability insurance, professional membership and continuing education fees, portion of the mortgage, property taxes and utilities etc, needed to sustain this service for yourself and many others.
It is impossible to manage your child’s complex developmental and behavioural issues via text or email. Make an appointment so we can communicate properly. Your child is worth it.
If the email is concerning an adult, the same rules apply.
